   I've had wonderful dining experiences at your restaurant for several years and recommending you establishment to many people visiting Vancouver Last night November 23 our dinner was such a disappointment. We had the Omakase menu and most of the dishes had big problems. The service was also all wrong, it was disappointing that 2 dishes were served to us at the same time, and no sooner had the dishes been cleared that two more were put on the table. We felt rushed out the door, in fact 6 of the dishes were presented to us in less than an hour so we told the waitress to hold off on dessert as we still had half a bottle of wine to drink. We didn't have time to savour the dishes, and we sent one of the main courses back to the kitchen to be reheated because it sat on our table while we at the first one and it got cold. There were so many things wrong with the dishes we were served. The beets were flavourless, the crudo dressing was so thin that none of it coated the fish to give it flavour, this dish needed a spoon to scoop up the sauce to enjoy with the fish. The steak tartar and taro chips was a great dish. The Octopus was tender we enjoyed it but the chimmichuri sauce was bitter and not edible. The halibut was nicely spiced and cooked perfectly, the corn risotto was over cooked and gummy - not edible The beef cheeks were tender but very salty, the celeriac puree was bland and tasted like paste. The cheesecake was good. We did tell our main server that dishes should come out one at a time to allow guests to enjoy each dish, we also told her the problems with each of the dishes.    My first time at a Michelin restaurant and it was SUPER! The 7 course meal was pricey but worth every bite. The ambiance was not stuffy and stuck up. Service was kind and courteous. Each course came perfectly timed. Thank you for the lovely experience.

   Food = outstanding. We did the tasting menu and I was very filling. Beautifully presented food, very tasty flavours. Nothing weird, just thoughtful. Tartare was a stand out for all of us, cheesecake was unreal (so creamy), good cocktails, definitely would eat there again for the food. However, the pacing of the food was too quick. The staff needed prompting for drinks and its hard to hear the staff. My biggest issue is the exposed HVAC falling apart in the kitchen ;and its ugly) ,the bathrooms need sone touch up paint, i had to tell them twice about the hand towels being out and some of the decor is strange. We all felt that it would be very easy for them to spend a little money to make the decor be as nice as the food and a little more attention to detail with their service and their space could go along way!

   We had a very good experience at Torafuku. The food was quick, fresh and delicious. We needed modify the tasting menu for an allergy and the staff were very helpful and accommodating and we were able to swap out an item that wasn’t able to be modified. We would definitely come back for the next tasting menu.

   Our dining experience was lovely. Our dishes were so delectable. Our server was attentive and friendly. Coming back to try your award-winning beef noodle soup. Can't wait. Thank you for an enjoyable dinner.

    Four of us dined at Torafuku last night and were treated to a $70 seven course price fixe extravaganza. Each dish stood on its own. The paving across dishes was excellent. The ambience was inviting, and the service was caring and professional. Kudos.
