I went accompanied last night with my best friend to celebrate my birthday. We had an amazing time. The food was great, and our waitress had amazing reflexes as to catching a full drink that almost spilled all over me. you have got to try La Bomba as a dessert. It was absolutely exquisite! It was amazing that the manager on site came out with my complementary churros and to wish me a happy birthday.

14oz ribeye was perfection, but the creamy rice in the Lomo Saltado was salty. Hopefully they fix that for next time. I would highly recommend the Grilled Octopus and the Ceviche Amarillo.

We recently dined at Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval in Chicago, and it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere and innovative Latin cuisine truly set it apart. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The menu is a delightful fusion of bold Central and South American flavors, expertly crafted with Chef Sandoval's innovative techniques. We started with the ceviche, which was fresh and bursting with flavor, perfectly balanced with sweet potato and red onion. The sweet corn empanada was a delightful surprise, with its crispy exterior and flavorful filling. The lobster roll was a highlight, with tender lobster meat complemented by a tangy aioli. The Cusco chicken was tender and juicy, with a rich, savory sauce that added depth to each bite. The potato 3 way was a creative and delicious dish that showcased the versatility of this humble ingredient. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance is lively yet intimate, perfect for a special occasion or a casual night out. Overall, Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience contemporary Latin cuisine at its finest. We highly recommend making a reservation and indulging in this culinary journey.

Was looking forward to trying this place for awhile. Food is good but terribly small portions for the price. Good ambience but service was lacking. Could never seem to get our server’s attention, even just to cash out. Good concept but lots of room for improvement, would recommend Tanta instead for now.

this is a great restaurant, ample portions, delicious sauces and food, then the showmansship on the coffees, smoked guac, and the pouring of flavors. glad we stumbled onto it.

It was our first time at Toro and we enjoyed the ambiance and the food. Our favorites were the short rib tacos and the tuna tataki. Service was efficient and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu.
