My table had a wonderful time at Toulouse tonight, and I feel I should review some of the many positive things we experienced. The biggest win of the night was our waiter, Bryan. The guy was perfection as a waiter. My date and I are both OpenTable VIPs who know excellent service, and we agreed that the service experience was perhaps the best of the year. Bryan answered our detailed food questions, adapted to our crazy idiosyncratic requests, kept the drinks going on a busy Saturday night, and coordinated the valet at the end of our meal so the car was ready when we headed out. Flawless! The food here is excellent. The bread service features some of the best butter in town, so I recommend you start there. After the bread service, we continued with an order of lobster mini-tacos and the fromage cheese plate. We both got seafood specials for entree (scallops for me; sea bass for her). The $75 asking price for each entree special includes top ingredients like truffles, truffle oil, etc. I loved it and trust that you will, too.

The ambience here is so nice! The service is great too. Unfortunately, we’ve been here a couple of times and the food is just disappointing, nothing out of the ordinary. If the food was leveled up with the amazing outdoor environment, this place would be unbeatable!!

This is the place I choose for every celebration. I recently had lunch at Toulouse to celebrate my birthday and then, a few days after, I had lunch with a friend who had never been there before. There’s just something about Toulouse that makes me happy - the atmosphere, especially when eating outside on the terrance, the food, the music. We shared the warm brie, then I had the wild salmon, and my friend had the duck. Everything was excellent. On my birthday I tried several desserts and loved them all, especially the chocolate mousse. As far as I’m concerned, this is the best restaurant in Houston, and I will always rwturn.

We had a reservation and still waited 45 mins. The staff was courteous and apologetic and offered a complimentary dessert but several people had a very long wait.
