   The food remains delicious with large portions. However the decor badly needs a refresh and one of the greeters was wearing blue jeans -- too informal, imho, for the high prices.

   The 3 of us ordered different entrees and each was delicious. One had the Frutti di Mare which was very tasty. He loved the fresh tomatoes in the dish. I had Veal Piccata and loved it. Always my "go to" dish at Trombino's as it's perfectly prepared. We haven't eaten there in a few years and I was surprised that capers are now extra on the dish. Such a small thing to cost extra! The third guest ordered Chicken Scalloppini and he loved his meal, too. Said the artichokes made it extra tasty. We also ordered the large sized Calamari as an appetizer and chose the Layer Cake Shiraz as our wine. Never had tasted that shiraz and it was EXCELLENT.

   We had an early dinner on Saturday. The food and service were good, unfortunately one of us got very sick later that evening and most of the night into the following day. We will not be returning to Trombino's.

   While the food is always good we had our son, daughter in law and our 2 small granddaughters with us and got there at 3:00 as soon as it opened so we would disturb patrons. What I did notice was the other 6 tables that were seated at the same time as we were that didn’t have any children were waited on far more quickly than our table. Every table had bread and their drink orders almost as soon as they were seated. Our table on the other hand waited over 5 minutes for just our drink order. We finally had to ask for some bread. While some wait staff think people with children won’t tip well, think again. We always tip generously for good service.

   Although we never have a hard time getting a table, this restaurant is always crowded for a reason: it's spectacular! The food is absolutely delicious, the ambiance welcoming/warm/friendly with low key Italian decor and a cozy feel. Greg our waiter was perfect: friendly without being intrusive, responsive to every request, knowledgeable about the food & beverages. We're hooked!

   Table location was very inconvenient, in the center of all other tables, was bumped all night long. Food, 3 out of 5 entrees were bad, overcooked rubbery calamari, tasteless food, hard and lumpy mashed potatoes. Will never return again!! Regret taking out of town family there.

   Our family of 6 celebrated Mothers' Day at Trombino. Our group ranged in age from 13 to 82. There were picky eaters, dieters and everything else. Everyone found something on the extensive menu that appealed to them. We started off with 2 appetizers for the table to share. Everyone ordered a different entree. Three people had seafood, 2 had veal and one had chicken. The portions were large and 4 of us took doggie bags (although I will guarantee that none of our dogs will get a bite.) . We ordered 3 desserts for the table. Every last morsel was gobbled up. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. In spite of how busy the restaurant was, the service was excellent and the when the check came we were pleased at the reasonable cost. We will definitely return.
