True Blue Butcher & Table, the flagship restaurant of the We Are True Blue brands, is located in The Forum in Wilmington, NC. We’ve been to True Blue a couple of times and each time, the service is hit or miss. We were sat in the back where all the servers hang out and chat while working, which was a little frustrating. We also saw many tables with bigger parties get served much quicker than we were. It took a long time for our drink refills, over an hour for our food to come out. One of our steaks was also slightly overdone, which is a bit frustrating when you wait over an hour for it to come out. We love the food there, but wish the service was better.

My wife and I went there for my birthday. The special that night was a Surf and Turf for two. It was outstanding! 24 Oz of dry aged ribeye plus scallops, Shrimp and lobster with bernaise sauce. We ordered a side of asparagus plus foie grais and Bone marrow. Next time I would skip the asparagus and bone marrow, the asparagus wasn't warm and there was hardly any bone marrow. Overall it was a great dinner.

We came for our anniversary. They made the occasion as special as possible. The staff Even drew little notes on our menu “happy anniversary”. Wish we could’ve kept those but overall the food was amazing and the waitress was nice.

Great Experience with the reservations. Makes it so helpful instead of waiting Eli, the manager was extremely helpful with questions as well as prepping tables to get ready for customers. Smash burgers, as always were exceptional!

We had a late team lunch on Friday and the team at True blue delivered. We even got to sample the scallops with caviar which were honestly the best scallops I’ve ever eaten. Cocktails were also top notch. Highly recommend for afternoon or evening dining for those with a discerning palate.
