   Holy Moly! I am so glad we picked this place for dinner! Food- amazing. Cocktails- delicious. If you’re into mezcal and spice, then get the “Hey Hot Stuff”. Yum is an understatement. We had fried pickles, sweet n spicy fried chicken, the southern fried chicken BLT, Brussels sprouts and fries. The banana pudding and Mississippi mud pie were delicate and sweet. If I’m ever anywhere there is a Tupelo Honey, I’m definitely making a visit.

   It took over 50 minutes to get our lunch today. This is not unacceptable when you order off the lunch menu during the working week.

   Ambience was nice - not too loud. A nice patio area. Food was delicious but steak portion on the entree salad was not worth the up charge. Crispy potatoes were fantastic as well as the chicken and waffles and chicken sandwiches. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Server was MIA a good portion of our visit - maybe saw him 3 times. We had to ask for refills of water, had to flag him down to bring us our check and then flag down again to take payment. Hopefully just an off day from that standpoint but too bad it happened on our first visit.

   I decided to try Tupelo Honey based on suggestions from friends. I was told about the Frisco location, but found out there was a second location in Las Colinas. I visited the Las Colinas location last weekend with friends. I liked the ambience, decor, the cozy feel of the restaurant. I ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and honey-dusted fried chicken with the macaroni and cheese as a side. The fried chicken was seasoned well, but was dry to my liking. The macaroni and cheese was good, as were the fried green tomatoes. A friend ordered brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were tasty. Although I was somewhat disappointed with the chicken, I enjoyed the sides. I would return again and order a different entree.

   The service was the best thing about our experience. The fried chicken was dry, which was disappointing. The drinks were weak—I’m not sure they even had alcohol in them, honestly. The pimento cheese and fried green tomato appetizers were a great way to start but everything else was barely decent. Not worth the price at all.
