   My husband and I had a last minute change in our NYE plans.. we were grateful that Vacca had a reservation available at 9:30. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with enthusiasm and much attention by a wonderful host whom I failed to get his name. We were seated and almost immediately our wonderful waitress Noelle was there to attend to our every need and want. She asked us if we had any questions and immediately brought us water after asking us which kind we chose. We chose the Escalade and the Tribianni cocktails and they were the perfect beginning to our anniversary dinner. Noelle Then made suggestions after we asked as this was our first visit since Vacca opened. We chose the Oysters Severn and it did not disappoint. Crispy plump fried oysters with Brie on a bed of thick bacon topped with an amazing well flavored hollandaise. Definitely recommend this appetizer. Next came our entrees. My husband chose the Shrimp Fra Diavolo Linguine. Large butterflied tender shrimp in a mushroom spicy red gravy( it’s a Nola thing.. not sauce ) over perfectly tender linguine pasta. I chose the 8oz petite filet. Perfectly cooked medium rare at my request. The meat was tender and had that perfect melt in your mouth taste. I chose the Bernaise to level it up. I also chose the potatoes au gratin as my side. Perfectly cooked potatoes cut in small bite size pieces with a smooth au gratin sauce topped with additional medium cheddar cheese. ( the sides can be shared and so I took quite a bit of this and steak and Bernaise to go) We chose the Rum Raisin Bread pudding to finish off our wonderful celebratory meal. Another large portion that we both shared and still took half home. The bread pudding was not too dense with golden raisins, a not too sweet flavor complemented by the rum sauce. Don’t sleep on this dessert choice. Thank you again to Noelle and the Vacca staff for a perfect dining experience. We will be back and plan to bring our family. Joe and Marie Cleary

   Phenomenal place. The food was excellent, the waitress was so sweet & friendly and the aesthetic was so pleasing. Each steak that we had was perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. The steamed broccoli was a little cold, but nonetheless still a delicious taste.

   Steaks were delicious. Sides were ok. Bread pudding for dessert had way too much butter and not enough rum sauce.
