   The food was well prepared, the wine service bad. Bringing the poured wine in a small carafe is tacky and the choice of bread is bad and expensive. The sauce for the cod was soupy. A no no for fish. On the other hand, the clam chowder was just right. This a prime example why a good potential setting can be spoiled by bad attention to details.

   This was our 25th wedding anniversary and we chose Verbena as our place to celebrate. What a great choice! Everything from service, ambience to food and drink was simply perfect! Thank you for the memories. We will be back often.

   Always good food always friendly service.  Ariel Comfortable ambience. the poached cod with veggies and mussels was the best I’ve have had since Portugal

   My mom said her trout meal was one of the best trout she's had and she's from the East Coast. The wine selection was superb. Definitely will try again!

   Best meal I have eaten in this neighborhood gem ever. I was with my daughter for a long catch-up lunch and we had an amazing meal with some delightful cocktails. I tried the Steak Tartare for the first time and it was be best I've ever had. I also had a great salad and a bit of ice cream. My daughter had the salmon, which I know to be great. The crunchy egg on my steak was the first soft-boiled egg I've ever eaten and what an inventive treat it was. I'll be back soon just for that. Wow! The service was great, as usual.
