   Kept taking away appetizer plates before we were ready. Server didn’t check-in very often. Bill was slow to come. Had to ask for it.

   Wonderful experience . Service was great , food delicious and attention from staff was excellent! I have been back several times and Risottos is just outstanding and so is duck ravioli plus tiramisu out of this world .. compliments to the chef ! We were celebrating significant anniversary and everyone went out of their way to make it extra special! Thank you !

   The calamari were excellent. the spaghetti fries that came with them were tasting of old fried oil and as you tried to put them in your mouth they broke up, it was sort of a fight. then the pizza margherita had a very soft mushy uncooked bottom. we also ordered a medium rare rack of lamb. it looked cooked and delicious. we were looking forward to digging in. however, it was coloured only on the top and bottom. it was so thick that no heat got to the inner part so it was also cold, raw and tough. they took it back and brought it to the heat lamp but it got coloured only on the side facing the lamp. the other side was still cold, red, uncooked, tough, no flavour. they didnt even bother to give it a turn over under the lamp. might have helped. another item we ordered was the short rib agnolotti, they were delicious. i did ask them though to hold back the truffle, as i dont like it. so that turned out good. i booked online a table for 2 specifically the dining room. it was an option. somehow, though, we were brought to the atrium, a large glass enclosed room. ambiance nice but cold. so we ate our dinner with our coats on. not comfortable at all. actually, as we were being escorted to our seats and walked through the whole dining room, i asked, where are we going? of course, the atrium. i expressed my concern that, on line i specifically selected my preference as dining room, but got the atrium. they offered to check if there was "space" in the dining room, but, just to be polite, we stayed in the atrium. big mistake. im sure in daytime the sun shines through but at night its cold. so, do we want to go back, no. there are a ton of restaurants in the city, less expensive, better service and with good food. no need to go here and empty your wallet. in the end, they did not charge us for the lamb, which was nice, but all in all, the whole evening was a battle with this or that. i guess they were too busy to service us properly.

   My experience at Via Allegro was amazing! The food was fresh and satisfied that pasta cravings. Their fresh pasta definitely was my favourite.

    The mushroom risotto was overly salty and the brussels sprouts were hardly even cooked and barely charred. Definitely need a few more minutes to cook. Regarding the service, the server seemed to be very judgemental and demeaning, but miraculously, when we asked for the bill, she started to become quite nice
