We had a great time last night! And loved the pop up Valentines theme! The service was slow in after our first drink but then it sped up. Great music and atmosphere.

Starting by saying that all the reviews seem great until January and then went downhill so not sure if something happened starting this year. The food we also got was great... When we arrived we waited a little but and then was greeted by a lady who would also be our waitress. She had trouble finding our reservation (which seems to be an issue with other reviews as well) but once she did, we were sat. We waited about 7-10 minutes for her to come back and ask what type of water we wanted. She returned about five minutes later, only filling one of our two glasses, and then took our drink order. I ordered the "purple drink" (I think I was called) and she said she had to check but thought they were out. Another 7-10 minutes later she came back and said they were out so I ordered a margarita (on happy hour ) and my date ordered an unsweetened ice tea while also asking for the other water glass to be filled. The margarita came out in about 10 minutes and when the waitress returned to get our order, she informed us that they were out of tea and suggested a mocktail, which was ordered. I asked between the two salads which was the better and was told they were out of the one salad so my choice was made. We waited about 20 minutes for the food and a food runner brought it out to us. It looked great and was all there but still no mocktail. Once she came by we asked for it again and I also ordered a Budweiser. She came back about five minutes later to say they were, you guessed it, out of Budweiser and asked if bud light was okay. She also asked what flavor of cocktail my date wanted (we should have given up on this by now). We ate with her never returning and when the table next to us paid out we asked if we could as well and to get a to go box. We waiting about 5 minutes for the box and ended up getting up to ask the host for it. Also side note... we were sat two table from the front door... the front door that SLAMS shut every time with no padding.

Overall a Good spot & on the list of Go-To’s… However, the service is usually a bit slow and on my last attempt to dine there I was turned away to dine elsewhere after being told my reservation was confirmed in error as they still need to adjust the times on Open Table for when serving food is open. If they work with the staff on punctuality & adjust the times on open table for times coinciding with actual dining hours they’d be Great 👌🏾

Not much to tell. Got sat and waited for 20 minutes before getting up and leaving because we were never approached by staff again.

The food was amazing! We went here to celebrate my friends birthday. I really wanted to love this place, with it being advertised as black owned. The service was subpar, we waited forever for our appetizer of cornbread and to take my friends drink order who was a little late. We finally tracked down someone and gave drink and entree orders. We mentioned our cornbread had never come and they did get it and take it off our tab. After placing our food, it was 7:30, our reservation was at 6:30. A young lady comes to the table saying our reservation was up in 30 mins so we’d have to leave. I then asked for a manager considering we haven’t even gotten our food. The manager came over and told us we didn’t have to leave. The food was excellent but the service needs work. I wouldn’t go back here due to the subpar service. Also the music was really loud and we were screaming to hear each other.

I made a reservation for 6:30pm tonight. Our waiter, Sara came right away to take our drink order, but unfortunately everything fell off after this. It seemed like every drink my table tried to order, y'all were out of. When we finally got our drink order in, we waited about 15-20 minutes before Sara came up to our table again (without any drinks in hand). She seemed to be chatting with other tables for much longer than needed - acceptable if the restaurant is slow, but the space was quickly filling up - where is the sense of urgency if you're trying to flip tables and make money? One table sat down next to us and was not greeted for 10 minutes, and they left frustrated. We were not far behind and ended up walking out after only being served water for the 50 minutes that we were there. After being recommended this spot by numerous people I was extremely disappointed in our service tonight. I wanted to be patient and wait but only being served water for almost the first hour after sitting down was unacceptable. I can tell this restaurant is not managed very well -- you need to have more people on the clock for busy nights. And from other reviews I've read I am clearly not alone here. I will say, the food looked great though from what I saw, but please tighten up with service. Also, the music was way too loud for a dining room.

Cute small dining room with great service but the speak easy is big and laid back. Everything was delicious. Recommendations: Oxtail beef stew, mac & cheese, brussel sprouts and the tang margarita!

Our waitress was very inattentive and forgot items we ordered, she seemed under the influence of something…my boyfriend liked what he ordered. I ordered the golden corn salad and it was not good. It took a long time for drinks. This was my first experience dining here, not sure I’ll be back.
