   Had a great experience at Virgil's. Enjoyed Sunday brunch. Our waiter, Jorge, provided great service. The food and ambiance made for a great visit. I'll visit again.

   I reserved the rooftop area for party of 20. Its was 95 degrees and the fans were inoperable. So yes it was super HOTT and they wasn’t able to move us because the inside was preoccupied. On a positive note our waiter Khali was great, very polite, attentive, and provided exceptional hospitality. The food was pretty good. I had the fried green tomatoes, corn bread muffins, the Afta Church Plate, and the Yella Boi to drink(Good🙌🏾)

   Swanky vibes! Fast service! I ordered the fried salmon and Mac n cheese (both a la carte items) & they were both divine!!! I had not ever tried salmon fried, but when in the South, honey!!!! I would recommend a stop here for sure.

   I have eaten at Virgil’s three times. The first time was fantastic and the other two times left much to be desired. Today, I ordered the okra gumbo and the consistency was like soup. The menu listed it as having shrimp, okra, crab, and sausage. It had an okra garnish and shrimp on the top and that was it. The rest of it was like a broth. I told the manager and she said they should change the name to an okra soup because that’s the way it’s served. I arrived hungry and left the same way. I must say the corn muffins are consistently outstanding. I don’t think I will return.

   I had a delicious & memorable Sunday afternoon brunch with a dear friend at Virgil’s. The service was a little slow, but that’s expected on a Sunday afternoon at any soul food place in Atlanta. Our food was hot & delicious. Our service from Khali was attentive & sweet. The music was soulful & just right. We’ll be back for sure!
