   I was excited to try this restaurant. They seated my guest and me in the restaurant near the kitchen, which was very warm. We requested another area and were placed in the very back of the restaurant outside. People could walk up on the area from the street. It was a poor start to the evening, and we felt like we were being profiled (two black men) and placed there intentionally. But because I really wanted to try the food, we decided to stay. Our server was friendly but very slow; she forgot to put in part of our order and didn't come back to check on us. The only good part of the experience was the food. The food was excellent!!! I would recommend going for the food, and maybe you will have a better seating and service experience than we did.

   6 of us went on New Year’s Day at 5 pm. The food was great and the service was excellent. Staff had been up till 5 am the day before but was still excellent. We had chicken parm, spaghetti, bolognese and shrimp scampi. Cesar salad was excellent.

   The indoor dining area was freezing; however, the hostess, who was very amicable, kindly offered our party a choice of outdoor seating and even accommodated our request for a quiet area. Our server, Giovanni, was extremely attentive and professional and made our dining experience a wonderful treat.

   This was our second time at Vitolo in one week. From the minute that you sit down until the time that you leave this is an extraordinary experience. The ambiance is beautiful, the martinis are phenomenal and the food is beyond compare (salads, chicken parm are incredible!) with all of this, what sets this restaurant apart is its service led by manager Nellie who navigates the rooms and assures that every detail is perfect- a superstar!!

   While the food was tasty it arrived to us cold so we did not get to enjoy the meal the way it would have been desired. The service was excellent in trying to rectify but it was just a situation that they were too busy and backed up in the kitchen and then they realize that the pasta which was delivered untimely was cold. I would definitely give this restaurant a second chance as it has the makings of it being better than what we had experienced.

   Not only was this restaurant, classy, elegant, the food was outstanding!! We traveled an hour away to enjoy the experience, and it was absolutely worth it! The work staff was very warming and welcoming. The food was out of this world!!! They are very generous with their portions! I had the lobster ravioli with chunks of lobster around it extremely delicious. If you love clams, I suggest the Vongole Rogeanata it was extremely tasty and to top it off dip your bread in it… Delicious!! We also had the mozzarella en carrozza, outstanding!!! We ended the night enjoying the beautiful outside bar having a few cocktails. I didn’t want to leave. Cheers!!

   Bar service super slow at 5:30 on a Sunday there are tables in spots at that restaurant there shouldn’t be tables such as up against a wall on one end and up against the computers for servers to enter orders. You need to let that spot go guys.

   Overall FAIL. Many better choices in FLL for Italian food. Restaurant is pure chaos. Noisy. Disorganized. I was seated 35 minutes after my reservation time. Food was just ok. Will not return.

    The double espresso was less than single! The Dover sole was OK, but too thin The flan / panacotta was average. Stay with the traditional!
