   A bit disappointed this time. Day after Valentine's Day. Had reservation for 7 PM and arrived on time. Restaurant very crowded. We were asked to wait in the reception area: it would be about "15 minutes". Wait time much longer and I noticed the reception desk was using a hand-written list and failed to go back into the electronic reservation list. As such, people were being seated without reservations before us. Inquired about our table and he got flustered knowing he had not called us before others. Then rushed to find a place to seat us in an area with an already over-worked wait staff. Finally had food start arriving at our table after 8PM, but out of sequence since our drinks arrived after salads and soup. Food: not the best showing - Had a roasted beet salad that was soooo overdressed there was a lake at the bottom of the salad plate. Flavor good, if you like dressing. My wife's salmon was quite undercooked away from the edges of the piece she had. Ended up leaving about half of it on the plate. By the time we left just after 9PM, the place was empty. Very disappointed that the reservation meant nothing. Have used Walnut Grill for "special" dining in the past and were satisfied but may need to consider other places given what happened with this experience. There were no apologies at any time in the dining experience.

   Typically I do not take the time to write reviews, however, walnut grill is my all time favorite place to eat. Last night was just a complete disaster from start to finish. I realize it was Valentine’s Day weekend so I expected the service to be slow, but they ran out of our appetizer and didn’t come let us know until about a half hour after ordered it. It took about 30 minutes to get our drinks from the bar (which we were warned about) …. I ordered the Bellini-strawtini that was to have a splash of champagne - it tasted like it was straight champagne (terrible). When our food came, one of the meals came without the toppings asked for, another’s burger came out burnt that was to be medium rare and the cheese was just slapped on, not melted. The Valentine’s special was to come with a choice of salad - we never got the salad. At the end of the evening, we got our bill, they already had their gratuity added to the bill (which was a little more than 20%). When we paid, they then asked if we wanted change as if they wanted an additional tip? I think not! The waitress was delightful, don’t get me wrong, but it was just an overall bad experience and enough that I won’t jump to wanting to go back.

   Dinner at Walnut Grille never disappoints. The value and quality of food along with the service is always top tier.

   We waited 90 minutes and our salad wasn't brought out yet. At that rate the entree would of been another hour. Got up and left. Ruined our Valentines dinner.

   Restaurant was packed for Valentine’s Day. Server was great. Expeditors not so much. We thought food was a very good value.

   3rd visit in a row with poor service. Reservation made. Table was in bar area. Ok- I’ll live with table location. +2 hour dinner time. Clean bread plates were horribly dirty. Took over 30 min to get 4 small pieces of bread for a table of 5. Then came silverware- only 3! 4 waters and a Diet Coke took another 20 min. Food finally came almost 2 hours after sitting down. Came in segments. One dinner did not arrive until 10-12 min after everyone else. One dinner was missing a baked potato, cup of soup. One dinner had no condiments. No refills on drinks. No “how is your food?”nothing. Mgr offered a free desert. Really? Mgr stated lots of problems due to management turnover. Wont be going back anytime soon.

   I think it was too much for the restaurant. It too 40 minutes from the time we ordered our drinks to the time they were brought to our table. You could tell they had been sitting a while as the ice was almost completely melted. Our appetizers took about 30 min so we those before our drinks. The food took over an hour and 20 min. The steak and crab cakes were good. But were not very warm. The sea bass you could tell was microwaved. The carrots were ice cold under the seabass but hot on the plate. The seabasd was rubbery. We had to send it back. Not the best experience. Not the worst. It can be hit or miss here

   We made a reservation but a Saturday night so rather busy. The table we were sat at had a draft from the door on the one side and seat was weak and suspect for my 89 year old Mom. It was a little hard for her. The food was overall good, onion soup too sweet and onions not well cooked, but still did the job and we enjoyed the visit overall.

    Overall, the food was fine. Expected better for the price. I had a party of 6 and service was just terrible. A half hour before we could be even order food and it was a struggle to keep drinks (water) full. Our server seemed like she was overwhelmed by having too many tables, and apologized. However, it was inexcusable to not have someone helping with that section.
