   Excellent food as always, Chef came to table to explain certain things server could not. Pork chop is not to be missed; it’s the only restaurant I trust with that dish!

   The service was horrible and this was one of the worst meals of my life. They were understaffed and the cook was sick. Our appetizers came but an hour and a half passed without the entree. When we asked to cancel the order the server told us the cook was sick. As we were preparing to settle and leave the manager came out, yelled at us so people at other tables could hear, and slammed the bill on the table. We understand people get sick. But if they are running slow just tell us so we can decide whether to stay or not. But for the manager to yell at us was rude, unacceptable and ruined the evening. We will never go back there.

   Truthfully you were the rude guests & made my server cry. She was trying her best &everyone else was patient/understanding-you were privileged. Your appetizers did not come out that late I cooked them & noted times, you’re exaggerating. I was in the process of plating your food then you THREATENED my server you were leaving & made her cry. I walked out with a smile but you immediately complained while I’m trying to explain what’s going on- unacceptable behavior for anyone in my dining room I won’t stand for it. You are grown adults & don’t know how to treat people when you don’t get your food right away - childish behavior so you get treated like children. Let’s not forget you have booked & cancelled at my restaurant 4x this year how can I take you seriously. Have a Good day sir.

   Gourmet quality, didn’t know was BYOB. Felt bad for the one waitress working. Would think would be more busy on a Saturday for the level of food quality.

   Hi thanks so much for dining with us & for enjoying the food. We were staffed appropriately (1 server, 1 busser) for the amount of guests we had which by your comment it wasn't as busy as we would like, but keep in mind almost everyone came in at the same time which if it were spread out it would be easier to serve our guests. Everyone wants to eat around 7/7:30 if we don't accept those times then no one will book. It's hard to justify bringing on additional waitstaff with the chance they will not make sufficient funds in tips being we are a BYOB. As a new small business we must do everything we can to ensure business goes as is & the staff are happy, in addition to our guests. Times are tough for the industry especially if you're not a big institution. Just some food for thought.

   It took us three years of being in Montclair to find Walnut Street kitchen, but what a find! Probably the best meal we’ve had in town. Beats the pants off Halcyon and Faubourg for example . Delicious food, excellent sauces, creative combinations, beautiful garnishes with friendly , attentive service and generous desserts. Foodie heaven . Can’t wait to go back.

   First time we went there and what a gem! Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. All of our dishes were delicious. String bean appetizer was unique and tasty. My wife’s main dish, seafood risotto, was exquisite! I had the steak frites and it was stellar. We will be returning!

   We have been in Montclair for close to 10 years and are fortunate to have many fine dining establishments. Walnut St Kitchen was memorable. The dishes were well prepared and delicious. We had the lobster roll appetizer and risotto and amazingly flavorful chicken main. Can’t say enough and the chef was so kind. This is a go to spot in town.

   Beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere. Original artwork is displayed throughout. Small but interesting menu, with daily specials. Great service. Food is terrific.

    We enjoyed the food and the server was friendly and efficient even though they were very short staffed . The food was interesting and tasty . We will be back again .
