So you ask why Wanda Byob?

Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad.

What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.

With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come.

It was a wonderful experience as always. I had the Wagu steak special, and my girlfriend had the lobster tail stuffed with crabmeat, also a special on the night. We always go in with the thought of what we will get, and then the specials blow us away. It was complimented by a very nice visit from the manager to say hello, and make sure everything was good. Oh, and the chocolate moose pie for dessert..😋

Food was good overall. Tuna tower appetizer was a favorite and good portion size to share. Enjoyed my filet entree, but others who got the short rib said it lacked flavor and was dry. Our server was very friendly and checked up on us as needed. Quaint atmosphere. Just try to avoid being seated near the entrance during the winter. Door doesn’t shut after it is opened and I had to get up and close it several times because of the draft.

I cannot recommend Wanda enough. The food is absolutely delicious. Like out of this world delicious. I highly recommend dining here. Our server, Noah, was also exceptional. We will beck often. A huge kudos to the executive chef. My taste buds were hopping. Well done.

A wonderful meal off the newly updated menu. Service is always very good and friendly. I was a little disappointed I had noted the occasion was for my girlfriends birthday and there was no mention of it. I didn't make anything of it as it was just she and I and everything else was very good.

This is a lovely restaurant but the food has changed. Needs attention in the kitchen. Each of the four of us were disappointed in our plates. Service was great! Hope delicious food returns.

Wanda’s deserves more love. Everything about this place exhibits the pride and dedication that you would hope for in local restaurant. The menu is inventive and updated to reflect seasonal availabilities. The dishes are creative and tasty and the staff is personable and attentive. We had the goat cheese croquettes, beet salad, short ribs and pork tenderloin- all of which were top notch. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you haven’t visited you owe them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
