Join Landlord Stuart and Head Chef Helder for breakfast, lunch or supper at the Wattenden Arms. Built over 150 years ago we are a hidden gem close to the famous Kenley Aerodrome. Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Today we serve a refreshing range of lager, ale & wines and a menu that reflects the great British pub, using fresh ingredients all cooked to order. We welcome the local & wider community, walkers, cyclists & four legged friends.

Had a lovely lunch here today, I had the Sunday roast option, which was good value, beautifully presented.
The beef was so tender and plenty of it.
Service was excellent, very attentive but not overbearing, lovely staff.
Atmosphere was lovely, they had a live musician playing chilled out, acoustic songs.
Have to mention the glassware, so pretty.
Even the napkins smelt lovely!
Great choice for a birthday lunch.

This pub has a lovely ambience; it used to be frequented by airmen during the war, being near Kenley Aerodrome. It is well decorated and has interesting pictures of squadrons and planes on the walls. There is a pleasant outside area.
The food was delicious. I shared a roast dinner platter which was well presented and perfectly cooked. The sea bass special was excellent too. The vegetables were tasty and not overcooked. The proprietors were very polite and attentive. I would thoroughly recommend eating here.

Best vegetarian sausages we’ve ever had!
Had the vegetarian breakfast with a pot of tea. Service was excellent. Food quality excellent! Also size of breakfast was very good too. Left feeling full, not uncomfortable. Quiet for a bank holiday Monday morning but very nice experience and will definitely be returning. Tea was great. Had coffee on previous occasion, also very good.

The Sunday roast beef was tough and Caesar salad had rubbery chicken, no anchovies or eggs etc.

We had a lovely breakfast . Pancakes were good, as was my bagel. Good coffee- just no skinny option for milk and oat is not my favourite.
My granddaughters loved the connect four, playing cards and the scrabble. Plus I had a great catchup with my 3 friends.
