   Vicker's Tavern was always one of our favorite romantic hot spots and we missed it when it closed. White Dog has done a great job renovating and expanding its footprint. We felt very welcomed upon arriving and I had jokingly asked for a table near a fireplace because we live in Florida now. When we checked in, the hostess chuckled and guided us to a table right next to a fireplace! They offer a nice list of cocktails and wines by the glass. To start, definitely try the mushroom soup, it was amazing. The flounder, trout and cajun catfish entrees were very well done. Service was accommodating and friendly. We had a very good experience.

   Food and service were excellent, but I can't figure out why we could not get a reservation at 6. We took one for 5:30 but the place was still empty when we left at 7. I also don't understand why we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated when the place was empty. Maybe a tad snooty. . .

   Room we were in was cold. Atmosphere was nice. Meatloaf was good. Seafood & scallop was salty. Service was good.

   We were there for an early brunch and it was pretty empty. By the time we left the parking was full and the atmosphere a bit louder. Everyone agreed we would love to come back again to try lunch or dinner. Food was fantastic.

   White Dog Cafe at Chester Springs quickly became a favorite after opening this year. Its varied menu with well-prepared dishes, attentive service, and wonderful ambience provides a warm and inviting venue for a fun evening out for couples or larger groups.

    Service was very slow as they were understaffed. Over 2 hours for lunch was too long. Took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. Was hoping for a better experience as they did a great job renovating the place...oh well....
