   It was a good dinner. I got the escargots, it was really tasty and it was great it came with a piece of bread 🥖. Next I got the short ribs, it was a little bit too salty for me, the gratin dauphinois and the mushrooms were great. For the dessert I got the mousse au chocolat it was excellent but a little bit heavy for my stomach. The restaurant is quite dark and the others tables were too close, you can easily follow discussions from others tables.

   We were seated in the front window of the restaurant that had virtually had no light. Ambiance is one thing, but this was beyond that. We had to Ask for more light. The server was terrific and brought us a small light. Also, we asked for some of the food in a doggy bag and half of the food was left out This is the first time anything like that has happened, though. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. We will return again.

   Loved the appetizer with goat cheese and beets. The trip drinks we got were also very unique overall a great place.

   Our experience at Zola was incredibly disappointing and left us feeling unwelcome. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:45 PM, and by the time we sat down and placed our order, it was just past 7 PM. However, the service throughout the evening was intrusive and rushed. While we were still eating, servers repeatedly asked us every 10 minutes if we had finished our plates, interrupting our conversation despite it being clear that we were still eating. Then, while my friend was still enjoying her wine, the check was brought to our table without asking if we wanted dessert. Around 9 PM, the hostess asked us to leave the table, claiming they were having a busy night. To make matters worse, we noticed other tables where guests had finished their meals but were not approached or asked to leave. This inconsistency made us feel unfairly targeted and discriminated against. Overall, the experience was unwelcoming and disappointing. I will not be returning to Zola and cannot recommend it to others.

   Excellent experience dining here. One of the best steaks I've ever had and great service and ambience as well.

    Food is good but overpriced. This place is always near impossible to find indoor seating on a weekend evening at the bar area. Drinks are good. Needs more restrooms as they was almost always a wait.
