- WwilliamDetroit / Eastern Michigan •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWow... what a transformation! I had not visited Hotel Delamar and Artisan restaurant since it was the dumpy Holiday Inn. The hotel is beautiful. Artisan really came through! The decor is sophisticated but inviting, the fireplaces roaring, our view pleasant. The food is quite good.... the service made the experience! Melissa took care of us. She was knowledgable, made some smart suggestions and paced things perfectly. The kitchen also split our apps. I especially liked the cacio pepe salad... my dining partner enjoyed the roasted squash app. We both had the filet with a bit too heavy (for me) sauce. Loved the pave' potatoes. Nick the manager checked on us regularly and kindly showed us the pool and 'igloos'.... One more great addition to the Traverse City dining scene!More infoArtisan - Traverse CityPrice: Expensive• American• Traverse City•4.6
- SSharonNorthern Michigan / Upper Peninsula •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2025Everything was very good. The Tomahawk steak is not worth $170. The butternut squash puree that can with my scallops was a tablespoon total, or less, which was also a bit disappointing. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend and will go again.More infoAerie Restaurant & LoungePrice: Very Expensive• American• Acme•4.3
- JJamesNorthern Michigan / Upper Peninsula •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2025We wanted to enjoy our special dinner on New Year's day at one of the BEST restaurants in Traverse City on Mission Peninsula and was NOT disappointed. Was able to take in the whole atmosphere & waters view that felt comfortable & relaxing while enjoying our dinner. My husband really loved the salad & his Filet, cooked just right & it melted in his mouth. Another thing he was surprised when he order a 7 & 7 it really, really had great color not pale, like most other restaurants with drinks he has had & quality of the whiskey was superb as you would expect for an above & beyond quality restaurant. My lobster cooked perfectly, very flavorful & tender. Excellent Kahulua and cream & a scrumptious Crème Brule. All and all wonderful experience. We were delighted to enjoy our special New Year's Day dinner at a wonderful restaurant on the Mission Peninsula in Traverse City, and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere and water view were comfortable and relaxing, enhancing our dining experience. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his perfectly cooked filet mignon, which melted in his mouth, and he was pleasantly surprised by the rich color and superior quality of his 7 & 7, a marked improvement over similar drinks he's had elsewhere. My lobster was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and tender. The Kahulua and cream and the crème brûlée were also scrumptious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.More infoBoathouse RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• European• Traverse City•4.9

Discover Northern Michigan
The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is a heavily forested region rich in game. This area features plenty of outdoor activities and a short but produce-rich summer season. Multiple wineries dot Northern Michigan, offering tastings and dining options paired with the intense and fruity wines made from short-season grapes. Freshwater fish, both cooked and smoked, are abundant and prepared to perfection. Fans of craft beer will enjoy both the beverages and the views of the surrounding lakes in the gorgeous country north of Lake Michigan. If the chill is hard to shake, you can warm things up in Marquette with a Cajun dinner. Be sure to save room for dessert. The Upper Peninsula is rich with wild berries, and you can't leave without trying some pie!
