- MMelodyNorthwest Florida •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoI've been coming to apological for years. I've always wanted to stay at the Gibson end. So I decided this year. I would and let me say it was not the least bite disappointingly, everyone has been so friendly. Christmas dinner was excellent. I only gave it 4 stars for 1 minor reason, the chowder was barely warm, I feel certain that they would have warmed it if I had ask but they were so very busy and so kind I hated to complain, furmore ot was delicious. All in all It was a wonderful christmas meal. l would certainly recommend the Gibson Inn's Franklin caféMore infoFranklin Café at the Gibson InnPrice: Expensive• Southern• Apalachicola•3.6

Discover Apalachicola
Located right on the Gulf of Mexico, Apalachicola, Florida, is known for its succulent bay oysters. The historic subtropical fishing port is a small community that's off the beaten path. You'll enjoy Apalachicola’s salty seafood delicacies, which are sold not only in Key West, but all the way up to New York City. While there are a few five-star Asian and Mexican bistros on the Gulf Coast, the majority of the waterfront eateries specialize in haute seafood cuisine. However, the colorful presentation of Asian meat and vegetables in sauce is a refreshing change from the area seafood. In downtown Apalachicola, be sure to visit the local brewery for light to dark home-brewed beers with signature seafood entrees.
