- PPeterVIPRaleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is a regular stop when I have to come into town for work. It’s just hard to get a reservation when the patio is closed (aka the winter!). Always get the filet and it is yet to disappoint (4 times and counting). There sauces are good - but the salt flakes are amazing. Highlights and compliments the natural flavors. Tried some new sides - both excellent. The mushroom ragot was great, but don’t need to get it again. The brussel sprouts were amazing and rivaled the smashed potatoes (my personal favorite). I will definitely be getting them again. If you like steak in a relaxed atmosphere, you will like this restaurant.More infoBlack Cow ChophousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Charlottesville•4.9

Agreed it may be some of the best crab cakes we have had. Paired really nicely with rice, spinach and sauce.
