- AAliciaHawaii •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAs a first timer at Alta Strada I was pleasantly surprised of how quaint and cozy it was inside. I have been passing by it for years and have never really thought to go in. However, my friend and I were seeking out something new and craving Italian…so it Yelp let us to Alta Strada! We did make a reservation (highly recommended) and were greeted by two very nice hostesses. We were seated near the window with a nice view of the Mosaic. The ambiance was a warm, comfortable, and home-like vibe. We started with the garlic bread and it was served with a side of Marinara. The bread had the perfect ratio of crispy yet softness to it. The marinara was robust but not overly so and had a hint of sweetness as it should. The main course was cacio e pepe w/ pancetta paired with the Falanghina white wine for me, and the rigatoni for my friend. I will say these came out extremely fast which made me wonder if they were pre-prepared but the flavor of both was delicious. Finally, we ended our meal sharing a plate of the bomboloni (ricotta donuts) which comes with five and is served with a side of chocolate and raspberry sauces. They were amazing! I would like to see them add a 20-year Tawny Port to their menu as an after dinner drink. Overall, our experience was lovely and I would return. The price point, ambiance, & food was perfect.More infoAlta Strada MosaicPrice: Moderate• Italian• Fairfax•4.4
