The Triad Restaurants

We were seated by the front door at first and it was a little chilly when the door opened so I asked if there was another table back further. There was and without any problem and very graciously, we were moved. The cocktails and wine we ordered were excellent. The food was outstanding and fresh. We had mostly vegetarian options like crispy cauliflower and Saag Chat then Baigan Bartha, wild Mushroom Korma and Lamb Vindaloo. The portions were big so we we took a little of each home with rice for another meal. All the food was great and in discussing which was our favorite, we all said we just couldn’t decide because it was all good. Our server was excellent and the timing was not rushed at all. We had no problem with conversation as the noise level was very reasonable. If you haven’t tried it, go!!!

Attentive staff and great food, who can ask for more. When we come to Asheville, Mehfil is our go to restaurant both for Indian food and a great meal. Have never been disappointed. If you ask my kids, we go for the Biryani plus the variety of Saagwala, Korma, Naan, etc. Thank you again for another great meal.

Our party of four arrived just as The Blackbird opened at 5, as we had plans for the evening. Service was quick and good and we had a marvelous dinner in about an hour. We all loved our choices, from the veggie entree my daughter chose (and she was also happy about the wide range of gluten free options) to the pork chop and the Seafood Pirlau. There were oohs and ahs for the Smoked Gouda Sweet Potato Biscuit Pudding and the Goat Cheese Corn Pie. The top of the Pirlau was a classic mix of shrimp, mussels, sausage, and tiny crawfish, over a wonderful rice cake with a tomato-y both that made me think of Jambalaya that an old friend of mine from N'aleans used to simmer for a day before serving. Delish!

Five of us celebrated Boxing Day at Posana and had a wonderful meal. Two members of our group are gluten intolerant and Posana provides a safe environment for them to eat without having to review every ingredient. It is also exemplary to have every option available to them without having to take a salad or the only protein based option. Kudos to the team for making us feel so welcome and a special thankyou to Teline (spelling?) for tolerating our English traditions.

- Setting is airy, welcoming and lux - Service from the front desk and waitstaff is flawless - Menu selection at breakfast is somewhat limited, but adequate in a hotel restaurant on Christmas Day - We ordered the oatmeal, the French toast, and the omelette, all of which were exceptional - The breakfast potatoes are a must, being in my experience some of the very best in town
