   Valentines menu was not ideal. My wife and I had a reservation for 9. We arrived a little early to be seated 20 mins after the reservation. Our server did not see us for at least 30 mins. The server was nice but not very attentive. No drinks offered. Then the food. The menu was a very limited menu 3 course menu. That’s fine but the portions were very small. The steak was decent I would say 2.5/5. Crab cakes were too salty. Overall would not recommend on Valentine’s Day. Would probably not return again. Food very pricey for what it was.

   I must start with saying we had a selection and chose Rusty’s Bistro, drove an HOUR to get there, had reservations and when we arrived were told they were behind and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Every lady that was seated got a rose, except me, no biggie, but be consistency was absurd. Sat down, saw the terrible menu selection that consisted of only 4 dishes to choose from, 3 which were seafood and only one steak option which was for 2, so my poor husband got stuck with steak as I don’t eat seafood, not to mention we both had to settle on temperature as we both like completely opposite temps. The sides were non-negotiate and again, something I do not eat and am allergic to (mushrooms). It took the waitress 30 minutes to bring our drink order and then another 20 minutes before our food order was taken. From that point it took 30 minutes to get our bowl of salad and bread that should have been at the table when we sat down. Our main course took a good hour to come out and lacked flavor. I must mention during that entire time we waited our waitress NEVER checked on us or our empty drinks. Food was dropped off by someone else, who didn’t even bother to ask if we needed something else or if the temp looked ok, etc. She also walked by several times after we got our food and didn’t bother to stop and ask about our meal also. When the dessert came, she literally was moving so fast she dropped the plates and walked off, again, didn’t ask how things were or if we needed anything. I must mention they ran out of what dessert my husband originally ordered and the remaining options were not of his desire. Finally when she came by to ask how dessert was, we asked for our check as we were and had been beyond ready to leave. Lastly, Managers were also checking on all tables service, except ours. The most disappointing experience I have ever had in my life, literally, my life and $180 for 2 people on such crap service and food is a true disgrace! Terrible!!

   Unfortunately they appeared to be understaffed to manage Valentines dinner. The food was generally good but all 3 courses and drinks took an inordinate amount of time to reach the table. It was a very long dinner.

   3/5 Stars – Mixed Experience for a Valentine’s Day Date We chose Rusty’s Bistro at Sheraton Sand Key for our Valentine’s Day dinner, expecting a special evening. However, we had no idea that the restaurant was only offering a fixed three-course menu with very limited choices—at $70 per plate. The biggest disappointment was the portion sizes. The descriptions on the menu were vague, and I mistakenly ordered oysters for my first course, thinking it would be a substantial appetizer. What arrived were four oysters, each the size of a dime—I actually laughed when they were placed in front of me. The tenderloin steak for the main course was equally underwhelming, portioned more like a kid’s meal than a premium entrée. On the positive side, our server was fantastic—extremely professional and friendly, which helped make the experience more enjoyable. But the real highlight of the night was simply spending time with my beautiful fiancée. I wouldn’t write off Rusty’s entirely, though. The regular menu looks far more appetizing, and I’d be willing to give it another try on a different occasion. Hopefully, next time, it will live up to its potential!

   Rusty’s is a hidden gem. Food is delicious and service excellent. Not like your typical hotel restaurant

   Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was great! We loved the new menu, especially the shrimp cocktail! We try to make this a stop whenever we are in town.

   Had an amazing dining experience! The food here is delicious! I travel a lot and dine at many fine dining restaurants. The first night I had the filet with asparagus, potatoes and freshly foraged mushrooms. The next night I had salmon succotash. Both nights I ate their Caesar salad which came in a Parmesan bowl. The flavors that came through was music to my mouth. The salmon dish was my favorite because it was perfectly cooked and the succotash had a touch of heat with warm spices infused.Wine choices were great! And Ryan who I appreciated was my server both nights and was very kind and attentive!
