Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 142 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

    It is now a many year tradition that we come for Christmas Eve dinner and our visit this year was outstanding as always! The hostesses that greeted us were so kind and accommodating. Our waiter Henry was wonderful at his job but more importantly just a lovely man! The food was delicious and the energy at the restaurant was really fun! Thanks again for an amazing Christmas Eve, see you next year, we’ll be back soon!

    Seems they had some trouble in the kitchen today. Food came cold and items were missed. Not a great experience compared to what we usually get.

    No valet parking, no coat check. Ordered a bottle of Perrier Jouet, bottle came out warm. Sent is back ordered Veuve Clicquot instead. Waiter came back with Moet Chandon sparkling wine and Moet Chandon champagne. They were out of Veuve; how does a high end steakhouse run out of Veuve 2 days before Xmas? Ridiculous. Ended up buying the Moet; should have been charged the same price at the Jouet but that didn’t happen. Won’t be going back to this location

    We were celebrating our daughter’s 18th birthday. The staff was ready with a table, set with confetti and card for her, and complementary birthday dessert. Our server Michael was outstanding, attentive, but not overly hovering. We enjoyed our evening very much.

    My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating my mom’s birthday. The food was excellent! The service was excellent! Lillian and Enrique were so pleasant and made our experience even better! Will definitely return. Thank you so very much!

    Our Thanksgiving dinner at Ruth’s Chris was fabulous from beginning to end. We enjoyed a drink in the beautiful bar before dinner. Once we were seated, William took care of us and he was amazing attentive and so very kind. The food was prepared beautifully and the taste was completely amazing. We frequent the other Ruth’s Chris in the region and this one was the best we’ve had in quite a while We appreciate so much the restaurant and the staff being open on Thanksgiving day as I know it took the team members away from their families and celebrations.

    Excellent Thanksgiving dinner, the turkey and all the sides were great. Then they gave us all a bit of "leftovers" to have a turkey sandwich the next day. Outstanding service all around.
