   Ruth's Chris is a chain, but one which strives on the local level to provide a top tier experience from beginning to end. the wait staff was completely attentive, and the food was superb. What I like about Ruth's is that the experience is predicable and repeatable.

   Loved it as usual. Gabriel L. was our server and he was very nice and attentive. X(Z)ander also attended our table and was nice. The last few times I've come and ordered my brussel sprouts they have been a little tough. Otherwise I Iove it all, and I'll keep ordering them anyway <3

   We had planned this night out for several months as it would be our 47th wedding anniversary. Ruth Chris was not our first choice. We are new to the Mobile area and have been trying to find a special place just for those special occasions that call for a dining experience above and beyond the norm. To be honest, we we’re getting discouraged as most of the restaurants with top ratings had not met our expectations. I had made reservations At several different restaurants but was always unsatisfied with their menus. The food choices and descriptions never met my expectations. Finally, in a moment of despair, I thought of Ruth Chris, and did a search as I really didn’t know if there would be a Ruth Chris in the Mobile area. Surprisingly there was and I made our reservation and canceled the other, previously made reservations. Ruth Chris, as mentioned, was not at the top of my list. I’ve dined at a number of Ruth Chris restaurants, all around the US, including Miami, San Francisco, and NYC. The food and service was always good but never at the top of my list of best places to dine. The menu for the Mobile Ruth Chris seemed to be a cut above the other restaurants we had experienced as well as others we had been studying for this special night out. Well, the night finally arrived and then, the weather turned very bad, with a tornado watch and thunderstorms all around us. But we persevered and departed early in the hope that we might be seated early and that the weather would not spoil our evening out on the town. The rain made it tricky finding our way to Ruth Chris but upon arriving, we were very warmly welcomed in out of the stormy weather. The welcome was overwhelming and made us feel like regular dinners and part of the family. You expect a snobby attitude at such an elegant restaurant but our experience was completely at the opposite end of the spectrum. A very warm welcome and we were seated immediately, even though we were thirsty minutes early.

   Our party enjoyed the daily fish and filet specials for lunch. DELICIOUS! We ended with bread pudding and Crisi's. Then moved to the bar area for an afternoon making memories!

   Reservation was honored upon arrival and we were promptly seated in a private booth. The service was top notch; attentive but not bothersome. The food was amazing!

   We ordered 2 petite filets for our children (8 & 10) and they were to worst cuts of a filet. I wonder if they gave them the worst cuts because they are kids. My kids like to eat good food too and for the price Ruth’s Chris shouldn’t even have steak like that in the building. My husbands bone in ribeye was full of fat. Definitely not worth the price but again, shouldn’t even have that cut of meat in the building. My crab cakes were good and I think this was the first time I didn’t have shells in them. This is always the worst Ruth’s Chris. I don’t know why we keep going back. They need improvements on so many levels!
