The food was amazing and all very fresh, the portion sizes were just right. The staff were very attentive and very pleasant. Overall I would say that the restaurant has nailed it when it comes to service.

Sakura was established in 2009 as the first Japanese restaurant in Portsmouth. Since our opening night we have always strived to bring the taste of true Japanese cuisine to our customers, while adding friendly service, knowledge and a lot of enthusiasm for what we do.

We have retained a lot of the features that made our restaurant popular in the Southsea area. These includes tasty food that comes in a great variety, and fast and reliable service. We strive to maintain our standards whilst constantly refining ourselves to meet the demands of every customer.

This was our first visit the the restaurant. My first impression on going through the door was slight disappointment as I expected it to look very different from when it was previously the pub. However the food was amazing every single thing we ordered was gorgeous and my husband is very picky S not many decent Chinese restaurants/takeaways around. The service was excellent the two girls were attentive when needed and nothing too much trouble. Will definately be goi v again.

Situated overlooking the water in Gunwharf Quays, Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing sharing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries. The food was delicious as always - super fresh and the portions are always great! The staff are lovely however service is quite slow. We were served our starters all bar one which was sat on the counter for 15 minutes before it was brought over. We come here regularly based on the food! It’s the best In Gunwharf 🌟
