About the restaurant
All tables at The Blue Marlin will need to be booked ahead so we can comply with guidelines and accommodate our kitchen size. Reservations can be made online at www.bluemarlinami.com OR you can call (941) 896-9737 after 3pm.

Grace period - We have a 15 minute grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 15 minutes.

Table Times - Your table will be reserved for 1 hour 45 minutes for parties up to 3; 2 hours for parties up to 5; 2 hours 15 minutes for parties of 6+

Cancelation policy - We ask that you please call 24 hours prior to your reservation time if you need to cancel. This helps us tremendously!

LOVED the Blue Marlin. The cioppino had the best flavor & was my favorite dish on our trip. The Thai grouper & dijonaisse grouper were also a hit. We loved the laid back but cute vibe & the service was great. Definitely recommend getting a reservation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are north of St. Armand’s Circle, and minutes from downtown Sarasota. Best known for Local Fresh Grouper and Red Snapper. Great food and ambiance. Service was a little slow, but Nick jumped in and did a great job in moving our meal delivery along. Tripletail entrees were delicious as were the bacon wrapped scallops and lobster bisque.

Four of us enjoyed dinner at a window table last night. After being seated, we were immediately greeted a young server filling our water glasses followed by another young server bringing bread, crackers, butter, humas and oil. Dario was our waiter and was fabulous - always attentive, but not intrusive. Two of us had fried Haddock, one had Meatloaf, and one had Tuna Steak from the 5 Before 5:00 menu. All the meals were very good, and the service was impeccable. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back again.

Relax and enjoy yourself as you savor some of the tastiest dishes the Caribbean has to offer. Growing up as a child in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, I came to love the local cuisine and the abundance of fresh seafood on the island. Love of the Caribbean and its food have helped make this restaurant a reality. My wonderful wife, Laurie, has a passion for Southern cooking and you will find a splendid southern twist in the menu, such as the Kentucky Hot Brown, Corn Pudding and Fried Green Tomatoes.

All our food is made fresh daily. The herbs used in our delicious dishes are grown in our garden here at the restaurant. We invite you to tour the garden and allow your taste buds to be teased by the scent of parsley, basil and rosemary and walk our boardwalk to see what’s jumping.

Always a favorite stop of ours when we visit Sarasota. Food is always good, staff is always great. The live music is also fun. But can be a little loud but still sets the vibe.

Enjoyed cocktails and apps in bar at happy hour and then enjoyed early bird dinner at a lovely table overlooking the water in restaurant. Our waitress, Jessica, was very attentive and delightful. Our meals were delicious and plentiful; we took home 1/2 our meals to enjoy the next day. We’ll definitely be back!

We sat outside and there was a wedding in the lower level outside. The wedding had a DJ and the outside dining area had a DJ. This made it extremely hard for my wife and I to have a conversation and to enjoy the beautiful night. The service was excellent along with the food. Would definitely like to come back but will have to check to make sure there are no events planned for the lower level.
