About the restaurant
The original Hot and Hot Fish Club was founded in the late 1700’s by the planters of All Saints Parish. The social club was dedicated to epicurean pursuits; gourmet food, strong drinks and festive times. The first club was said to be on Drunken Jack Island, located just a few miles south from here. Members of the original club described their past time spent on the island as the “happiest hours of their lives.” The Club was dismantled and finally laid to rest after the Civil War. An ever shifting sand bar off the coast of Huntington Beach State Park is all that remains of the original site. The Hot Fish Club today is located in the oldest existing restaurant building on the Grand Strand. Hot Fish Club remains a favorite gathering place today for discriminating locals and is open to everyone seeking Great Food, Great Drink, and Lively Conversation, in the spirit of those earlier revelers. We pride ourselves on our personal service and our desire to satisfy each guest.

Farm-to-table
Myrtle Beach
About the restaurant
Located on the corner of Ocean and 21, across from The Breakers Resort, is the newest restaurant and bar to open in Myrtle Beach. Here at Strong Waters we strive to support all things local including businesses, the community, local farmers and artisans. We shop at local farmers markets in the area for herbs, cheeses, produce and sustainable fish found on our menu as well as the produce we utilize behind the bar.

At Strong Waters, we take the meaning of craft to the next level by sourcing only the freshest and highest quality ingredients for our cocktails and cuisine. We utilize the “Farm to Shaker” method for our cocktails, meaning we create unique drinks from local ingredients that transport you to another time and place. Our craft beer list is constantly changing and we only select beer from breweries around the state to give you a true taste of the Carolinas. Speaking of taste, we believe you’ll love our take on the flavors of the Lowcountry in the dishes on our main menu!

Sunday Gospel Brunch was great! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the music. The buffet was plentiful but not outstanding (nothing was bad - nothing was amazing). Go for the music and enjoy some seriously talented musicians!

Everything was excellent from our great service through the fresh and delicious choices of signature rolls. We began the evening with edamame, charred corn and shishito peppers which had this wonderful lime crema that really popped. We will be back, but I do have one critique and that would be to adjust the timing of the courses slightly. It felt rushed and when you are dining out it shouldn't seem like a fast food restaurant. We didn't even get to finish our appetizers and the rolls came out.

The music was too loud. I had out of town guests and I couldn’t hear each other speak because the music was so loud. We were sitting in the small room off the main room. Do you only play loud country music?
