My husband and I have been coming here every year for 8 years. We always come on Friday for their lobster ravioli and ossobuco specials. We never leave disappointed. The atmosphere is very romantic and is a must go to whenever in Tahoe!

We arrived for our reservations at 7:15pm where we were meeting some friends. When we got there our friends said they didn’t show a reservations for us. When I looked at my Open Table, I realized that I had saved the wrong date so I quickly changed it to 7:30 on the current date. The hostess said it would be a couple of minutes and she set up our table. There was 8 of us eating. We started out with appetizers where we got calamari, burrata crostini and bruschetta bread. Everything was amazing! We also brought our own bottle of wine that he did not charge a corking fee because we ordered two more glasses of wine with our meal. Next, we ordered salads and entrees. I ordered the Seafood linguine with the red sauce and substituted veggies for pasta. My husband ordered the scallops and my friend ordered Eggplant Parm. Everything was amazing! Scusa’s is my favorite restaurant in South Lake Tahoe! Awesome ambiance, food and service!

The only thing we wish could have been different is that we requested a booth when we arrivedf but they said they were all booked...there were 2 open ones the whole time we were there. Other than that, our waiter Gabriel was great and the food was outstanding! The birthday treat at the end was a special surprise and absolutely delicious!

The waiter and food were excellent. However, the busboy took our plates as we were finishing our last bites.

I cannot remember the last time I had Italian food this bad. It was no better than third-rate cafeteria quality. Much finer dining experiences can be had at an Olive Garden restaurant. The servers were not waiters by any stretch of the imagination - they simply brought the food to the table and put it down. No conversation of any kind. Poor, poor, poor! Plus, I belched up the "taste" of my meal the entire night. Not a pleasant experience in any way. Also, I understand Scusa has a sister restaurant in South Lake Tahoe, Izabella Ristorante Italiano. I can't imagine the experience or food there would be any better. BEWARE!

We went for a casual Italian dinner at Scuza, and it was as expected: Classic Italian fare. Not too oily - just right. Fresh seafood and good wines. The service was good and attentive. Loved that they had gluten-free options. I don't rate it higher b/c it isn't fancy or too expensive. You have booth seating or table seating, and the ambiance is older and can be updated. But, overall, great dinner.

Food was good. Not as authentic as we’ve had other places. Canoli was so hard it couldn’t be enjoyed
