   The grilled cheese is one of my favorite dishes ever, but the ribs tasted like they had been reheated this round and the sauce was thin and definitely not sticky. I’ll still be back for the grilled cheese!

   Growing up in New Orleans-we have eaten some of the best food in the country. Sego was absolutely one of our favorites hands down! Every dish was better than the next. The elote fritters - unreal! We literally ate ourselves into a rather painful food coma because we could not stop…it was that good. This family needs to open this in a market where they can get the recognition they deserve. What’s better than the food - is the story of the chef and his son. The son Aj was kind enough to come out and talk with us and their back story is admirable and what a humble guy. I can’t say enough about the chefs and the food- the entire night was outstanding.

   We were there two nights ago. This was our fourth visit. We went lo Zion and stayed overnight at Kanab just to go to Sego. The service was fantastic and food was beyond fantastic. I cook and I appreciate a creative chef and cuisine. Chef Foster is a star in my book. Rock on Chef. We will be back again.

   Always enjoy the interesting menu choices at Sego! The crispy egg served alongside the grilled romaine was a marvel; made the dish go from good to great. Foraged mushroom and chevre toast was delicate, earthy, delicious. Beet salad’s preserved lemon dressing a perfect complement, and duck lomein had plenty of delightfully rare duck breast and crunchy skin. Only wish we could have had time for Sego’s yummy desserts!

   Outstanding meal & service!! Sego is located in the Canyons Boutique Hotel in Kanab, UT. Both the restaurant itself and the menu can best be described as "eclectic". They offer a unique and well-curated menu of "social plates" (think tapas) that are portioned depending on the number of people sharing. My wife and I shared the elote fritters (excellent), the foraged mushrooms (not our favorite), and the duck lo mein (fantastic). The banana bread pudding we had for desert was wonderful. We also wanted to try the Cantonese salt & pepper shrimp and the bone-in prime rib, but you just can't dance every dance. We highly recommend Sego to anyone staying in or passing through Kanab.

    This was our third time visiting Kanab and the Sego Restaurant. The food, service, and ambience are reliably consistent—a rarity nowadays. We had beet salad, falafel, crab rangoon (daily special), and beef filet. Everything was cooked to perfection and served in the order we requested. I would say this is one of the best restaurants in Utah, hands down!
