   Wonderful way to enjoy our last night in Palm Springs! Fantastic food and ambience. Everyone was so lovely to our French Bulldog, Louie!

   Arrived early for our reservation. Had multiple tables in the central patio section empty. Asked for one of the empty tables. They were "reserved". Felt treated like a second class citizen. How does one "reserve" a certain table?

   Spencer’s is our go-to restaurant when we want to introduce Palm Springs to friends who’ve never visited. We have had amazing dining experiences here. Last night, we did not! It began when the hostess stand was confused about our table. I booked patio, they tried to sit us inside. Then they paraded us to the patio only to have the wrong table then back through the restaurant and when we were finally seated we were in a spot that was patio adjacent by ourselves where the heaters weren’t even turned on and had to request that. Next, our server was grumpy. Everything seemed like a chore to him and I never saw a smile. The food was mid at best. The Calamari appetizer tasted like it was produced in a candy factory is so overly sweetened. The steak seemed like chain restaurant quality at best. Our guests pasta was so overly salted his mouth puckered. When we sent it back the server again was less than friendly. The highlight was the seabass which isn’t saying much. I hope this was just an off night and not what Spencer’s has become.

   Celebrated my Birthday - our server Delfina was very personable and attentive to our needs. She made the total evening most enjoyable. The food was prepared and presented with accuracy and the taste was outstanding. Another wonderful dining experience!

   Another outstanding experience at Spencer's where we celebrated our anniversary with several friends. From the moment the valet greeted us, to the hostess seating us, and meeting our server, Alex, we knew we were in for a special experience. A nice touch was the "Happy Anniversary" card on our table. We started with a champaign toast then lobster bisque soup followed by our entrees. For dessert, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary bowl of ice cream with berries and a candle on top. We then enjoyed coffee to top off a wonderful experience. Hats off to Alex and the entire Spencer's team for helping to make our special day magical.

   We thought the food was outstanding. I ordered the meatloaf (strange order in an upscale restaurant) which was very good. My wife thought her Dover sole was maybe the best she had ever had.

    It was our first experience at Spencer's. All 5 of us - including 2 out-of-towners, were very impressed. It's a beautiful setting. We had outdoor seating and there were plenty of heaters and various firepits for all of us to be comfortable. Sam, our server, was very smooth and accommodating. We LOVED that he did not rush us and allowed the dining experience to evolve on its own steam. All of our dinners were delicious, but the calamari appetizer was the favorite of the night. Thanks to Spencer's for a very memorable meal. We will recommend the restaurant and return to it ourselves - lovely all the way around.
