   I've gone to the Boulderado in all it's various forms with my family for Christmas. As a photographer the old architecture and classic features appeal to me (not to mention stained glass and a tall beautiful tree). My breakfast was simple: steel cut oats with fruit and cream. The quality of the ingredients and quantity I received was better than what I make at home. The server was very polite and had a good look for the place. He seemed very overwhelmed by how many tables he had. My family felt impatient with him, but considering how many tables he got slammed with he did great. I didn't give him a five, because he was too busy to fill every last demand we made of him. However, he listened well and got everything correct and efficiently. My mother arrived late, but they let us keep our reservation. My brother was disappointed with his waffles and coffee refills (the only things he cares about at a place). I happily ate the rest for him. We are all middle to lowest class, this is sort of a special thing we do once a year. So my mother and I felt uncomfortable with the snootiness of the other guests, but we are both sensitive creatives so maybe they weren't classists like we felt. Overall I was quite happy with it and felt like I was a bit aggressive in getting the waiter's attention.

   Excellent service and food was amazing! We were there on Christmas Eve and it was very festive and they have a beautiful very tall Xmas tree in the lobby!

   We loved the relaxed and almost homey atmosphere. The staff was very kind and accommodating, almost reading in our minds, which was not easy given we had our grandchildren with us. We all loved our meals. I think the winner was the mushroom linguinis! Thank you for making our event very memorable.

   Spruce Farm and Fish is great no matter the time of day! Brunch offerings varied and delicious. Our waiter Ezra was very flexible as changes occurred. He was a very attentive server. It was very busy but he did his best to keep us happy.

   Delicious food: Smoked trout, salmon en croûte, trout. Delightful wines by the glass: Viognier and a rosé from Provence. Slow service since they were very busy.

   Maybe it's busy holiday time but the food was really not great as anticipated. The Bolongese tasted like hamburger helper on over cooked, wide, egg noodles. Crab cake was just ok, but at $30 on the small plate menu, Trader Joes frozen is superior. The service was super slow. Literally 30 minutes to get 2 coffees and 2 desserts. Overall grossly overpriced for sub quality food, under staffed and disorganized. Shame

    Our waitress was friendly, but not totally efficient. The negatives were my teabag exploded when I opened the paper packaging, and it took awhile until she reappeared to replace it. Tea used to be served in a nice individual teapot, which is much nicer. Also, I forgot to mention how I wanted my eggs cooked, and when I later told a different staff member, it wasn't changed. But I did get our waitress to switch it out fairly quickly. The positives were a nice atmosphere and my dish of Corned Beef Hash was tasty. I always like breakfast at Spruce Farm & Fish.
