About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Neighbourhood gem
  • Charming
Stoneburner sits on the ground floor of Hotel Ballard alongside Ballard Avenue, where longtime Seattle chef and owner Jason Stoneburner cooks with the confidence of 20+ years in the region’s kitchens. His food blends the bounty of the Northwest — wood-fired meats, seasonal vegetables, and handmade pastas served without pretense. Inside, the restaurant feels both worldly and lived-in, with salvaged wood, antique fixtures, and a cozy, layered design. On warmer days, massive front windows slide open to Ballard Avenue, filling the space with light and breeze. It’s the kind of place that welcomes you in—whether you're gathering with friends, celebrating something big, or just stopping by for a great plate of food.

While the food and ambiance were great, they not only messed up our order (and we were only 2 people ordering the same food item at a non busy hour) but no one checked on us until +30 min after we were done eating. Very disappointing service.

Fun place with a casual feel with excellent food that is beautifully prepared and served. We particularly enjoyed the special experience we had learning about new wines we had never tried before.

Food was terrific. We keep coming back! One of my favorite brunch places in Seattle. And I love you can still reserve online an outdoor table.

We celebrated my Son's Birthday. Party of 4. The service and ambiance was perfect. Everything we tasted was very well done! We had a bunch of apps that were simple but good with some spring flavors added as rhubarb. The lamb pasta was perfectly done with pasta being al dente. The halibut was done well and presentation was well executed. My Son had a pizza that looked like it was baked on the stone/pizza oven that had a nice crust. We shared the huckleberry sorbet which was great to finish the meal. We enjoyed our time!
