For a decade founder Gari Sugio has run a sushi restaurant that is innovative in the way it serves sushi with both cold and warm ingredients, offering more than 130 varieties. Sushi of Gari 46 focuses primarily on serving Gari’s “Signature Omakase” Sushi dinner which shows off his expertise with marinated and spiced raw and slightly cooked ingredients, in addition to a menu of traditional Japanese dishes. The sake selection, by Gari Sugio, is one of the best in town along with a limited wine selection of fine wines.

    The appetizers and sushi was fantastic. The location for a pre show dinner could not be better. The service is outstanding. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly.

    Impeccable service, beautifully presented dishes. The experience reminded me of eating sushi at the Toyosu market in Japan. We will return next time we are in town.

    Perfect pre-theatre venue. The best sushi in nyc and lovely staff, prompt service, fresh fresh food and everything is delicious. Had the Tuna of Gary platter and Ebi tempura maki (shrimp).

    We were catching a show and the entire staff was welcoming, assured us we would make the show and still created and atmosphere of calm, attentive service. We ordered hijiki salads, miso soup, and sashimi - all fresh!!! All delicious!! Our server recommended a cold saki that was perfect.
