   We’ve been to TdB many times over the years. Usually the food is great. This trip was problems as soon as we arrived. They couldn’t find my reservation. We were seated about 10 minutes before waitress walked by and said she’d be with us in a bit. We didn’t see half of the selections listed in the menu. No lamb, no bacon wrapped anything. Lots of Flank steak and filet. The filet was very gritty. A lot of the steak offered had huge pieces of fat on it. Not good cuts at all. Our waitress was not attentive and never around. When I used a gift card towards the bill she was flat out rude about it and drew a circle around the tip schedule on the receipt. Between the food and the service this was not a good trip. It was my birthday and she literally brought out an empty plate with a candle on it and said, “I won’t embarrass you by singing happy birthday”. THAT was embarrassing. This will be my last trip to Detroit TdB. We will go elsewhere. For 280$ the food and service need to be consistently good. There are many restaurants between my home and Detroit and I would no longer recommend Texas de Brazil as one to purposely seek out for a good experience. Then, to add insult to injury, the restaurant reported to OT that we no showed for the reservation they couldn’t find.

   Our server Carlos made our first visit special, especially for our daughter who was celebrating her 21st birthday. The meats were delicious and the salad bar was fresh and well tended to. Hot sides of cheese bread rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, French fries and fried bananas were brought to the table. There was some confusion early on (due to thick accents of staff) but we were fine once we caught on. The desserts were amazing! Save room. And the drinks were not watered down.

   It was our first experience it was great! Food was amazing and service was top notch. It is pricy but for the quality of food it’s expected. Must try at least once.

   The service is a large part of the experience. Our waitress, Hanna, was amazing! She was nice, attentive and after dinning here for years, the only person to ever introduce Liqueur 43 as an after dinner shot. Very lovely! Everything was delicious! Thank you!

   Texas de Brazil no longer sell lollipops lamb chops. They are no longer all you can eat you can buy four or five of them for $9 which I did not buy and I will not be going back down there with my VIP card was a waste of $60 Texas de Brazil you guys suck

    Always have a great time , food is amazing and the staff is very nice always. Never a bad time, if you haven’t gone here, don’t think about it just do it!
