Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

    Our waiter Neb was spectacular. Food was great. Drinks were perfect. This is the best Christmas environment in the Philadelphia area. Better than Peddlers Village.

    We were seated promptly and our waiter was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was holiday lovely. We had the delicious clam chowder and then salmon and filet mignon. Both meals were very good. We would definitely recommend.

    Booked at blue pig to show our nieces and nephews how cool Congress Hall and cape May were. First time for them. Got seated in a banquet room. No notice that when we booked it would not be in the restaurant. Subpar experience.

    Food was good. Server was slow to bring coffee refill and also the check. Also, there were no spoons?? We had coffee and tea and needed each needed a spoon. I ordered sausage with my pancakes and bacon was brought. I did eat it as not I have to wait for a change.

    One of our favorite spots in Cape May that we come to often, but they didn’t seat us this time until 6:500pm for a 6:30pm reservation, and we checked in at 6:15pm.

    Always love to have breakfast at the Blue Pig when we visit Cape May. Their Eggs Blackstone is a unique take on Eggs Benny with their perfectly poached eggs are placed on delicious cheddar biscuits with sautéed spinach and crispy bacon covered in hollandaise sauce and sprinkled with black pepper. It is delicious and I have not found this dish anywhere else. The setting is always great inside the iconic Congress Hall where several U.S. Presidents have stayed. A must stop if you come to Cape May.
