   We got a reservation on a Sunday evening. Our meals arrived quicker than we expected and were cooked as we ordered. We had more food than we could eat. The service was excellent.

   Unfortunately seated near the entrance to the restroom which decreases the typical Capitol Grille experience.

   Another excellent meal at the Capital Grille! The Filet Mignon Oscar special was fantastic. Meat cooked to the perfect temperature. Lobster bisque was a bit too thick for me but still had great flavor. We'll be back for sure.

   Joe was an amazing host! Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and he was very friendly, checked in regularly and was knowledgeable of the menu. Had an amazing time and glad we came! We are from NJ/NY but will be back. Thanks Joe- wish we had more cash to tip you !

   We had a great dinner and will definitely be back. The Kona New York strip steak was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Nicole was our server and took great care of us!

   My wife and son were in for the day. Went to our reliable and favorite restaurant. Had three filets, two starches, and three salads. The food was fabulous. Except, we were by the windows and under a vent. Although a great spot outside of winter, it was a bit chilly despite them running a space heater.

   It's a great place to go; I've enjoyed every time I've taken people there. However, this visit stuck out as a bit odd to me, which accounts for the lower ratings. Two things that account for lower ratings. First, we had to ask for the bread that was offered. We were told that bread may be provided, if asked, based on where we were seated--near the bar. Apparently, this contrasts with the dining room, where bread is offered without asking for it. This was the first oddity that appeared arbitrary--I was eating, albeit near the bar. The difference between the bar area and the dining room is lost on me. That shouldn't make a difference. Moreover, I visited the Capital Grill in January last month and was offered bread without asking for it. I was seated in the same area. That was the first item that stuck with me. The second was when the bill came. I was dining with a friend, and we wanted to split the checks. Per a management policy, we were told that splitting the checks was not allowed. Our server explained that she would need permission to split our checks. That didn't take long, but it seemed grossly inefficient and trivial to please the customer. This all comes down to me: restaurants need to realize that we are no longer on the COVID footing. I am the customer. Just like the servers and staff at any restaurant are working hard themselves, I worked hard as well, and the customer's conveniences need to be paramount. Bring the bread you bring to everyone, regardless of where they are seated. Split the checks if that's what the customer wants. It's not hard.

    It was our firts time visiting DC and we decided to have dinner at the Capital based on other open table reviews. They did not dissapointed us. Everything about this restaurant was great. Our server Akim made sure that we had an incredible experience. They have a huge and great wine list. Food was great, the steak term was perfect and dessert was delicious. The noise was moderate which we loved because we were able to actually have a conversation without yelling to each other. Definitely going back whenever we visit DC again.
