At The Crown, we have set out to create a local hub and community. A country pub that the locals are proud to welcome all.
The Crown serves simple yet perfectly executed traditional pub food and a crowd-pleasing selection of drinks.

At the head of the helm is an Executive Chef Scott Smith, who oversees operations of kitchen at The Crown as well as sister site The Oarsman, Marlow. Scott is an award winning Chef, who gained his extensive cooking skills by working at Michelin starred venues such as Arbutus, Wild Honey in London by Anthony Dimitri and Sugar Boat Scotland.
The dishes Scott creates are focused on seasonality, flavour and most importantly ingredients are sourced from local sustainable suppliers.

A quiet Tuesday night. Staff friendly and helpful. Limited menu. Scotch egg good. Bavette ok. Premium paid for Bray as expected.

We went out for Christmas Eve lunch and having been here many times in the past were expecting a pleasant meal. However we both ended up not eating all the food. We ordered the pheasant which was overcooked and lacked flavour. Whereas my sea bass was basically served on what tasted like a tin of chick peas. Not even crooked properly and bland. Ended up not eating anything and going elsewhere. Not what we had hoped for on Christmas Eve…! In fairness they did not charge for the meals, but then I would have refused to pay in any case. Maybe stick to burgers and chips…! You can’t get that wrong now can you?
