Since the remodel we have been there twice in December. Both times, I was not impressed with the food. I have been going there for the last 10 years and never had any complaints. However, I don’t know if they changed management, cooks, or what but when I had the first bad experience this month I thought, maybe it was a fluke, so I went back again tonight and … the price for the food did not add up. Even my kids brought it to my attention but we were trying to have a nice family outing for my birthday. I ordered steak MR and it came out well. Daughter had prime rib meal and it came with these onion string toppings on the side - no veggies. She said it wasn’t seasoned at all… very bland. Calamari was also bland. Basic breading and chewy. Mash potatoes were cold. Son’s lobster tail was amazing. Both times the waiter and waitress were absolutely amazing… it’s just the food was not up to par like it use to be and the prices were high for the quality.

We ate in the bar because there were no reservations in the dining room for a large party of 8. We had a little hiccup with the doneness of a steak which was quickly rectified and other than that the service and food was great. My preference would have been the dining room because the bar area was a little too dark but I understand it's the busy holiday season and we didn't reserve far enough in advance. We love coming here for birthday dinners for our family. I would like to see a few different menu options in the near future but either way we will keep coming back.

Simply not worth the money. For 4 people, without any alcoholic beverages and one diner drinking only water our bill, with tip (20% before tax), was almost $300. The steaks were fine, but nothing I can't get at Longhorn or really any of the other midrange steak houses around Phoenix. We were there for a birthday, as we are EVERY year, and the birthday girl was not offered a complimentary dessert. For the prices, she should have been. Also, she orders Prime Rib every year, it's a special occassion for her, and the meat was less than an inch thick. Really, like the steaks, not worth the price. Fortunately, she remarked that she would be happy to change where we will go next year on Christmas Eve for her birthday as she was rather disappointed.

Another great experience at the Keg. The food was amazing, steaks all around. Coupled with the sides couldn’t ask for a better meal. Service was outstanding, seemed to take care of needs before needed. Fantastic
