   The pub is a little bit away from other things, so it was nice and a bit more relaxed. The staff were very friendly. We both had burgers and could choose how we wanted them cooked which was good. Had them medium and they were spot on. Sadly, the char grill was actually burnt, so they tasted burnt. Think they needed to clean the grill or something.

   Great food - the King Prawn and Monkfish curry and the Sea Bass were both outstanding, as was the Artic Roll dessert. Great choice of drinks too.

   Lively place on a Thursday night with loud atmosphere.. food was ok. Low point were there were several items not available on the menu, although we didnt get informed of these up front so we repeatedly had to keep changing our choice and one of our party waited an hour and half for their food. Dessert menu was the same. unavailable options repeatedly. Wait staff were polite and apologetic but no deduction from bill made. When food arrived it was ok, but definitely not worth the wait - wouldn't return unfortunately

   Lovely pub. Friendly staff. Nice food and drinks. Would visit again. We had the lamb pie and it was delicious. Guinness and wine were also good.

   The waiter was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Above average pub food, burger was surprising alright - would eat again. Mum was happy so by default so am I. Massive respect. Scotch egg banging btw tell me how you do that

   Staying in a near by Air B&B, booked this place for when we arrived. Was fairly quiet on a Monday but that worked for us, food, drinks and service were all great. Would recommend.

   Booked a table for 5.45. Arived to be told kitchen was "closed" due to serving large party private function. Registered my displeasure - yold it might open in 30 mins! Afyer 20 mins order taken and food arrived wuite promptly. The mudhy peas were stone cold. Asked for them to be warmed - came back tepid so they were abandoned. Food that was warm was ok. Staff very apologetic bùt rather non-plussed. In the end we were given our meals (2 covers) on the house which was a good gesture. Won't be revisiting.

We appreciate/understand your frustrations from dining with us, we had a longer delay than anticipated in the kitchen during your visit and unfortunately you felt the effects of this. Again we can only apologise for this, we didn't wish for you to pay for your visit with us as it wasn't a true reflection of the standard we offer.    We had a business lunch hear. We arrived there were no staff to be found. After a chef went and got the team from out the back we were just told to sit any where even though we had a booking. Drinks orders were taken pretty quickly. We were then left for 30 mins trying to catch some ones eye to take our order (we were the only table in the restaurant). The food took a while to come out. It was really good when it did. We finished paid at the bar and left. The place had got a bit busier but over all pretty disappointed especially as we were entertaining customers.

    Visited The Square Pig for the first time to watch the Euros final because we were staying at a hotel nearby. Our reserved table was ready & in a great position for watching the match. The staff were really friendly & helpful . Good crowd of people . Would definitely visit again if nearby. Definitely recommend this pub.
