Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    This was the first time I went to here and regretted it. Anyone who knows me knows this is my favorite place (take my friends there and if someone asks where you want to go it is here). We were sat in between two tables who competed with being the loudest (hitting the booths) there was challenges with food and they did comp the entrée and dessert as a “sorry for the inconvenience.” I get they are not responsible for the obnoxious guests, they also did nothing to remedy that situation.

    You’re making a reservation ahead of time for special occasion in a restaurant that’s definitely not the cheapest and you wait 30 min for the table past your reservation time. No apology, they should at least offer us drinks if they overbooked. The food was good as always.

    Food is always amazing. I love the pompano and can’t seem to order anything else lately. But I do love the seafood risotto and grouper. It’s a great place to take guests. Nobody has been disappointed with their meal. The service is always outstanding as demonstrated by Valeria today. The only downside is the noise level. It can be very loud even when not full.

    I got the Ulele burger, which I've had a few times now. It wasn't great. It was a bit soggy and seemed like had a bunch of stuff piled on it for no reason.
