We ate in the bar which is a little less formal than the main. Dining room. Service was great and food was excellent. I try and visit once a week. Bring some friends. Be sure to make a reservation on open table

My Wife and her friend had a wonderful time!! The only challenge they had at the Ladies day brunch was they had to go down stairs for everything. Up and down the stairs with drinks and food while holding on the railing was challenging. But overall it was a great experience!!

Service was slow, was only like 4 people total in the restaurant and our server was paying more attention to the people who looked as friends to the restaurant than the actual guest’s. we waited 15 minutes to order and when we got our food and one or two refills our server wasn’t to be seen again and we had to ask the bartender for the bill. poor restaurant, wouldn’t come back again

We went to the Tavern for my son's birthday. It was not crowded on a cold Thursday so it was pretty quiet. I am not sure if this is the case on a busy weekend. The food was superb. We had to try "Suffolks best pimento cheese" to see if it lived up to its billing. It did and then some. All our entrees were also fantastic. Our waitress was knowledgable and very nice. On the negative side, it is not an inexpensive restaurant, though you can find some entrees that are not too expensive. Due to the nature of the dinner though, we splurged a bit. My son got the elk chops to try out something different. They were pretty awesome but they are not cheap.

We went for our anniversary / Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving day. We were greeted and seated and felt like welcomed guests. The food was delicious, presented well, and served quickly. Our server was attentive and friendly and checked on us often. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience. We weren't hurried in any way. We look forward to making another visit there and another outstanding meal.

Came for Thanksgiving dinner. This restaurant is absolutely one of the best dining experiences I've had in many years! The ambiance and decor was so comfortable yet upscale. The service was great and the food was fantastic! We drove an hour to get to the restaurant and will certainly do it again on future visits to the area.
