   The service at Waypoint Seafood & Grill is top-notch! The staff is friendly, attentive, and Justin went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be eating at Waypoint Seafood & Grill again!

   Our dining experience was excellent. The flounder bites salad was reported as wonderful by the lady who ordered it. Two of our guests had crab cake sliders and loved the dish. We were seated by windows and were a bit drafty so the retrieved their coats for warmth. Good job and we will all be back!

   This was our visit to this restaurant but we will return. It was a great meal, excellently prepared and served!! The appetizer consisted of baked oysters casino and the entrees macadamia nut encrusted salmon and sheep’s-head fish in a lemon butter sauce all of which were fantastic!! This restaurant is very highly recommended and we will certainly add it to our list of must visit Williamsburg restaurants!!

   Party of 5 for 2024 Thanksgiving buffet dinner. All went well -- we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation and had a spacious round table. Servers were attentive and responsive. The buffet idea was a good one because it helped with speed of service. Unfortunately, several of the selections were NOT warm or hot enough (chafers did not have sterno underneath). Also, there was a carving station for beef and ham, but turkey was shredded all-white meat in a chafer pan. Desserts (pumpkin, apple, pecan pies) were cold, but our server quickly warmed slices as requested. We were not offered after-dinner coffee, but did order 2 Irish coffees (and coffee was warm, not hot). Overall, all of the food was okay-to-good, and everyone in my party enjoyed the great service and fuss-free holiday dining. We would return for another Thanksgiving dinner, but only if the food was plated and hot (not buffet style).

   We went for Thanksgiving Buffet. The food was meh, nothing notable. We had a 3:30 reservation, I wish we had scheduled for earlier as there was no turkey left, just some shredded pieces in broth and throughout the two hours we were there none was brought out. Reading the reviews I expected better. The food was just fine, but I expected at least one dish to be spectacular and it was not. With the cost of $68.00 a head with mandatory 20% gratuity which is standard I think, but I wish I was happier. This was my first time at Waypoint and it will probably be my last. I am sorry I felt I had to write this review.

   Excellent experience. Food was exceptional, especially for a buffet. Oysters were some of the best I’ve had and as a Florida native, that is saying a lot.

   My husband and I were pleasantly surprised because we were seated inside instead of the patio. Our reservation stated that we would be seated on the patio. Our server was attentive, but not overly so. When I suggested that one of the dishes was a little low, the server noted my request and promptly brought a fresh replacement. The cost was a little pricey, especially with a 20 percent gratuity added and a suggestion for an added gratuity, but the dining experience was worth it. We will return.

   Food was outstanding but buffet line items were frequently empty and what was present was cold or dried out. Meat (ham, turkey & prime rib) was cold as was the gravy. We had to ask for a refill on cocktail sauce at the seafood bar. We waited 15 mins after being seated for our waitress to acknowledge us (she advised it was her last day??). Overall, the food tasted great but the aforementioned issues really put a damper on our holiday meal. We are local and have frequented the restaurant in the past with always an excellent experience. The Thanksgiving buffet was below the Waypoint standard.
