** Wild Ginger - Downtown

The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures.

We had a wonderful time at Wild Ginger. The restaurant was extremely busy with holiday parties and they still provided gracious and timely service, exceptional food and a nice environment. We loved the sea bass and mushroom satay - everything we had was great. We also felt energy in the neighborhood - lots of people in restaurants and on the sidewalk with the symphony performing, athletic events in town, and several shows running downtown. The entire experience was fantastic.

We had a reservation. We were seated 10 minutes past our reservation. Great looking restaurant. They seemed to be very short staffed. Servers did the best they could. Our appetizers were not hot. We ordered pot stickers and beef skewers. Main course was good and hot. We had the duck and tofu.

Went to dinner with friends before a show at The Pink Door. It was very busy (not surprising given the holidays), so dinner took a bit longer than expected but the server did ask us if we had any time constraints when we sat down. All of the food was delicious - we ordered the duck (small size = 4 bao), Singapore beef, fried rice, scallops, bok choy, Mongolian noodles with prawns, and seven flavor beef. The cocktails were also tasty. Would definitely come back!

The food was universally excellent. Siam lettuce cup was a favorite among with a blend of dishes from Mongolia and India and the best green beans. Service was attentive and professional. Highly recommend!
