Yoshi's has served Japan's best traditional dishes to Bay Area patrons since 1972. The menu highlights artfully arranged sushi, fresh grilled seafood, classic Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare. Patrons can kick off their shoes in the traditional Japanese tatami seating or dine at tables. Expert sushi chefs create sushi and sashimi to order either in the restaurant or in the jazz house. Start the evening in the cocktail lounge before dinner or have a nightcap after taking in a show in the jazz house.

My wife and I are long time Yoshi dinner and concert fans, especially when Boney James comes to town. We first say him and his group perform at Yoshi’s in San Francisco many years. Since then, we always attend his Oakland Yoshi’s performances and it’s always a great dinner and show. So for 2024, thanks once again Yoshi’s for another great dinner and show. And we’re looking forward to many other great dinners and other great artist’s shows in 2025. Sincerely yours, Brian and Linda Rozier- Stephens

Third time was a disappointment. Delivered the wrong orders three times. Another very late after the others. It was crowded but how hard is it to deliver the right plates to the table? Music was good at the show.

We go to Yoshi's a lot for the live music, usually 6-7 times a year and eating there is just a convenience, and you almost have to eat there to get a decent seat. The food is usually pretty good, but the service is not. And it doesn't matter whether it's the lounge area or the full-service restaurant; it seems like there aren't enough servers to provide great service. This time we decided to go for the restaurant...big mistake. They serve 'family style', so dishes come out as they are made, regardless of what you order. That means one of your party could be eating while the other is waiting, and we requested that our food be served at the same time. They completely ignored that. We'll continue to go to Yoshi's for the fabulous music, but will be using other options for eating.

There was a dog at the table next to us and my friend has allergies to dogs and started to wheeze and sneeze. The people with the dog did not have to move and the table for the concert we received was a high top towards the back and I have issues with high table. Ldmd

I've been visiting Yoshis for more than 20 years now, and there's never a dull moment! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is always friendly. I do wish they had some specials since the prices can be a bit on the higher side, but honestly, it's worth it. The shows are always a blast, and I keep coming back for more!

Yoshi’s never disappoints. The Snow Money and Spider sushi rolls were great! The fritter is my go to as well. Our waiter Owen was knowledgeable and attentive. He also gave our seating for the show. Table 4 front and center. We had an awesome evening.
